WHEN The Boss told his baby that they were “Born to Run”, I’m guessing he wasn’t thinking about travelling on roads across the Black Country and North Worcestershire during rush hour because - if he had - they’d simply be running into traffic jams.
Yes, it’s that time of the day when most of us are thinking about making our escape home. So to avoid those congestion hot spots, why not use our traffic and travel page?
A quick look around the region has thrown up a number of areas you may wish to avoid including:
*A4100 High Street, Quarry Bank. The road was closed earlier in both directions between Park Road/Oak Street and New Street due to wind damage to a building. It’s reopened but traffic is moving very slowly.
*A441 Birmingham Road, Redditch. There are roadworks and temporary traffic lights in operation for a roundabout construction at Weights Lane.
*A4100 Highgate Street, Cradley Heath. Roadworks and temporary traffic lights on A4100 Highgate Street at Wright's Lane.
*A449 Worcester Road, Hartlebury. We have reports of slow traffic on A449 Worcester Road Northbound between A450 Worcester Road (Hartlebury) and A442 Worcester Road / Wilden Lane (Kidderminster).
