GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet, but there are areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, they include: Speed restriction of 30 mph and one lane closed due to major roadworks and contraflow on M5 both ways between J1 (West Bromwich / Birmingham) and J2 (Oldbury). Work on the Oldbury Viaduct means that all traffic is sharing one side of the road as a contraflow.

One lane is also closed due to the Oldbury Viaduct roadworks on M5 northbound at J4A M42. Highways England are trying to keep M5 delays to a minimum by encouraging traffic to use M42 rather than the M5.

There is a speed restriction of 30 mph due to roadworks on A38 Stoke Road westbound in Stoke Heath between Sherwood Road and B4094 Worcester Road, while there is water main work and temporary traffic lights in Bromsgrove on A38 Redditch Road near Buntsford Hill.

Gas main work is causing delays in Alveley on Daddlebrook Road at Bridge Road, and delays are also expected in Bell End, Belbroughton, due to temporary traffic lights and roadworks on Quantry Lane near The Gutter.
