AN animal fun fact safari and dance session were among the activities students from Halesowen College put on for local schoolchildren.

Travel and tourism students at the college planned and organised children’s holiday activity sessions with the help of pupils from Newfield Park Primary School.

Sixty pupils from the Whittingham Road school visited the college to take part in the activities, including a walk around the mental health trim trail to find hidden stars.

Laura Lee, travel and tourism lecturer at Halesowen College, said: “We all really enjoyed the day and we had glowing reviews from staff and the pupils.

“We first went out to the school to meet the pupils and then designed the four activities for them. It was great to work in partnership and a brilliant day was had by all.”
