CHILDREN in Halesowen can win the chance to stay in a castle for a special knight adventure by having their eyes tested this summer.

The Cornbow Shopping Centre-based Scrivens Opticians and Hearing Care has teamed up with Warwick Castle to offer the special prize.

Until Saturday, September 1, anyone having an eye test at the town centre branch will be given a voucher entitling them to 40 percent off the admission fee to the castle, while children having their eyes tested in the same period will be entered into a national prize draw.

The winner will be treated to an overnight stay in a Tower Suite with a private tour of the castle and two days priority access to its attractions. The runner-up in the prize draw will win a stay at a Woodland lodge on the castle grounds.

Denise Wilkes, branch manager, said: “It’s an added incentive to underline the importance of regular eye tests for all ages.

“Even though most children get a basic check of their eyes in reception years at school this doesn’t always check everything that is covered in a full eye examination with an optician.”
