BUDDING stage stars are being invited to improve their performing arts skills at Halesowen Youth Theatre’s (HYT) first ever summer camp.
Targeted to young people aged between four and 19, the new five-day musical theatre sessions will cover dance, drama and singing – forming the core of the fun week of training.
Ben Pountney, one of the founders of HYT, said the camp will also provide experience in writing, devising and choreography, among other performing disciplines.
The summer camp will begin on Monday, August 6, leading up to a show on Friday, August 10. The week will also include a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon.
Ben added: “Performing arts is a great way to make lots of new friends, enhance your confidence and it is a great skill harness.
“I cannot encourage you enough to join us on this exciting new summer camp.”
The sessions will take place daily from 9.30am until 4.30pm at the Lifecentral Church, in Little Cornbow, and costs £20 per day or £80 for all five days.
