A RECEPTIONIST at a Halesowen wholesalers will brave the shave to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Sue Kenny, from Dudley, will lose her brown locks during a coffee morning at Makro on September 28.

She said: “I decided to shave my head because Macmillan nurses have helped one of my family members in the past.

“I am quite nervous about doing it as my hair has always been my ‘crowning glory’ so to speak but I feel it is not a lot to sacrifice if I can raise a decent amount of money.”

The 58-year-old has raised around £1,200 to date but customers can help boost her total by picking up a sponsorship form at the store in Pitcairn Drive, off Dudley Road.

Sue will have her radical haircut at around noon if people wish to watch while they enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake.
