A WOMAN who has been part of a Halesowen performance group for more than 25 years has scooped its special annual award.

Every year, members of Startime Variety present the Sheila Darby award to the person they think has contributed the most to the group over the previous 12 months.

This year's winner is Tina Lilly who has been a member for 25 years.

Tina, who lives in Cradley Heath, is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro next year to raise money for Dementia UK.

This year Tina has written Startime's pantomime Cinderella in memory of Mike Clifford who produced pantomimes and shows over a number of years.

Cinderella is being performed at Netherton Arts Centre from Wednesday, January 16 to Sunday, January 20, 2019 with matinees on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20.
