THE borough’s very first Forging a Future For All awards promises to go with a bang – as we’ve lined up entertainment from a dynamic drumming band.
The awards, a partnership between Dudley Council and the Stourbridge, Halesowen and Dudley News, are set to honour hard-working community heroes from across the borough.
Nominations for the awards have now closed and finalists selected – and the winners will be announced at a glitzy presentation evening on Tuesday November 27 at The Copthorne Hotel at The Waterfront at Brierley Hill where entertainment will be provided by Birmingham based drumming band Bhangra Smash Up.
The energetic three-piece outfit, comprising dhol drummers Ryan Chahal, Josh Chahal and dholki drummer Gurcharan Bhujhangyl, have been playing together for about a year and have showcased their skills to audiences at parties, weddings, exhibitions and festivals across the UK.
To find out more about the band check out Bhangra Smash Up on Facebook or email Bhangrasmashup@hotmail.com.
