A TABLE top sale has raised hundreds of pounds towards the running and restoration of a much-loved 'secret' Halesowen garden.
The sale, which took place on Saturday at the Cornbow Shopping Centre, raised £362 for the Leasowes Walled Garden in the grade 1 listed Leasowes Park.
The majority of items sold were donated by volunteers of the Halesowen Abbey Trust charity, which owns and runs the walled garden.
Volunteer Chris Fantom said: "LWG would like to give the Cornbow Centre a big thank you for the use of the centre and the many members of the public who bought items thereby supporting us in this project."
The garden is located close to Halesowen Golf Club and is open to visitors and volunteers from 9.30am to 1.30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Visitors can walk around the garden which has grassed areas with trees, borders with plants, flowers and shrubs and an area outside the wall that has beehives, an orchard, allotments and a wild meadow with a pond.
