PANTOMIME star Patricia the cow, who has starred in shows at York Theatre Royal, is set to make her television debut on The Crystal Maze.
The talented Royal Jersey cow, who starred alongside York legend Dame Berwick Kaler in Jack and the Beanstalk last year, has been talent spotted by Channel 4.
She is set to star in a Christmas special of the show.
Theatre Royal costume supervisor Pauline Rourke said: “I gave Patricia’s coat a good brushing and polished her hooves, then packed her off to Bristol where the show is filmed.”
Patricia, who has starred twice in pantomimes in York, worked with another famous panto dame on set, Christopher Biggins. She said: “He’s good but not as good as Berwick.”
The episode will be broadcast at 8pm on Boxing Day.
The Grand Old Dame of York is at York Theatre Royal from December 13 to February 2.
