POLICE are continuing to appeal for witnesses following the murder of Stuart Roe last month.

The 34-year-old was fatally stabbed during the early hours of Sunday, December 30 in Springfield Drive, Halesowen

Officers would like to speak to two men who were on Springfield Road at around 1.20am on December 30.

They are not suspects but may have vital information which could assist with the investigation.

Martyn Turley, aged 57 from Tipton, was charged with murder and remanded in custody following a court appearance on January 1.

Detective Inspector Caroline Corfield, from the force’s homicide team, said: “The charge was a significant step forward in this investigation but I still need to speak to anyone who was in the area on the Saturday night into the Sunday morning - including these two men.

"You will know if this is you. You aren’t in any trouble but I believe you may have some really important information.

“I’m also still keen to hear from anyone who was in the Britannia pub in Halesowen Street, Rowley Regis where Mr Roe visited shortly before his death or anyone who was en route from the pub to the where Mr Roe was killed on Springfield Drive."

The homicide team can be contacted via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, call 101 anytime or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
