"I will be reluctantly supporting the Prime Minister’s deal tonight" says Halesowen MP James Morris.

The news will not come as a surprise as Mr Morris has remained loyal to the leave campaign and Mrs May throughout the Brexit process.

MPs will start voting on Mrs May's Brexit deal at 7pm as five days of debate on the issue come to an end.

Mr Morris said: "If we do not make the right decision now, we will potentially face a constitutional crisis and years of debate in this country about the direction of Brexit.

"Britain can lead the way as we leave the EU and shape our future relationship with the EU, and grasp those opportunities and exert our enduring power in the world, which has always been the British way."

Mrs May will make a final plea to MPs to back her deal in a speech at around 6.30pm.

But with many of her own MPs expected to vote against the deal, it is widely expected to be defeated.

Voting begins at 7pm with backbench amendments that could reshape the deal and then there will be a vote on the withdrawal agreement itself. Voting is expected to be completed by around 9pm.
