DETECTIVES are continuing to appeal for witnesses following the murder of Stuart Roe last month.

The 34-year-old was fatally stabbed during the early hours of the morning on Sunday December 30 2018 in Springfield Drive, Halesowen.

Police are now appealing for information to help identify two men who were walking in the area of Springfield Drive and Long Lane between 1am and 1.45am on Sunday 30 December.

The men are not believed to be suspects but may hold vital information which could help the investigation.

Martyn Turley, aged 57 from Tipton, was charged with murder and remanded in custody following a court appearance on Tuesday 1 January 2019.

Detective Sergeant Steve Parkes, from the force’s homicide team, said: “The charge was a significant step forward in this investigation but we still need to speak to anyone who was in the area on the Saturday night into the Sunday morning - including these two men. You will know if this is you. And we need to make it clear that you aren’t in any trouble but we believe you may have some really important information.”

The homicide team can be contacted via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, call 101 anytime or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
