DRIVERS are being asked to take extra care when travelling on roads in the Black Country and North Worcestershire due to ice warnings. 

The Met Office has issued a 'Yellow Warning' in place for this week, with temperatures dropping to -4°.

People are asked to adjust their driving, plan their journey's carefully, and check latest weather forecasts.

West Midlands Fire tweeted this morning (Wednesday January 30): "Please #TakeCare whilst driving on the roads this morning. It is cold and icy. #DriveToArrive"

The Met Office has told people to expect: "Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.

"Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.

"Probably some ice on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths."
