URGENT calls to put the brakes on speeding motorists have been made after a biker who crashed in a Halesowen street was left fighting for his life.

The horrific crash happened on Hawne Lane on February 8 when the 37-year-old rider hit a stationary car.

Councillor Simon Phipps said he had asked for speed calming measures including speed activated signs on Hawne Lane before the smash, but had been told by Dudley Council there had not been enough serious incidents to warrant measures.

Amanda Gooding was attacked by jealous Darren Egerton during a row about whether she had been flirting with another man.

A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured in a crash in Dudley.

The man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham following the collision between the bike and a car on Stourbridge Road in Dudley at around 10.20pm last night (February 20).

Paramedics also treated a young child from the car, who was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for checks.

A STATE-OF-THE-ART laser and digital camera installed at Kidderminster Hospital's urology department is set to speed up the diagnoses and treatment of kidney stones and associated cancers.

Kidderminster Hospital's League of Friends charity paid the £32,000 needed for the new equipment, which enables the treatment of stones to be handled as day cases.

BROMSGROVE Council is failing to keep the town's streets clean, says one deeply concerned councillor.

Bromsgrove councillor Peter McDonald said that the council has a legal duty to keep communities clear of litter, yet it is failing to do so.
