A thief was caught on CCTV after smashing his way into an Oldbury nursery.

Five Star Day Nursery in Moat Road, Oldbury, was targeted just before midnight on Friday (February 22).

The tracksuit-clad thief who fled with just £20 was caught on CCTV - which staff at the nursery have released in a bid to trace him.

He was wearing gloves and distinctive tracksuit with 'EA7' on the left leg.

The nursery posted on Facebook: "Luckily no one was hurt and we are a cashless nursery so they only managed to take around £15-£20.

"We have cleaned all the mess up to ensure there is no glass anywhere and secured the nursery.

"We know this is a long shot as the man has covered his face and has gloves on but if you have any information that could relate to this man please let me know.

"He was wearing a distinctive tracksuit with EA7 in large writing down his left leg."
