Forecasters say the storm will being strong winds and heavy rain to the UK today and into tomorrow (Wednesday).
Winds are expected to hit Northern Ireland first before spreading eastwards to south-west Scotland, and much of England and Wales.
Gareth is the third storm to be named this year, after Erik in February and Freya earlier this month.

It warned the storm will bring the risk of damage to buildings, flying debris, power cuts and travel disruption in parts of the UK.
