POLICE in Halesowen have taken two more knives off the streets as part of Operation Sceptre.
Officers arrested a man in possession of a blade in Halesowen - he has since been handed a suspended prison sentence and fine.
Sgt James Harrison tweeted: "Last week on our teams night shift Response West Midlands Police officers arrested a male in possession of a knife in Halesowen.
"At court he has received a three-month suspended prison sentence and has to pay a £115 surcharge to fund victim services."
Halesowen police also revealed that a Belbroughton woman made the shocking discovery of a nine-inch blade abandoned on her driveway.
The woman, whose exact address has not been revealed, handed the weapon into police in Halesowen on Thursday morning (March 14).
Halesowen Police tweeted: "Thank you to the vigilant resident who has found this knife on her driveway this morning and handed it to @HalesowenWMP.
"Another knife off the streets."
