The Co-operative petrol station in Old Colwyn has been cordoned off.
Co-Op petrol station staff have disputed claims there was a fuel leak and said the closure was due to "some form of spillage".
A spokesperson for the Co-op said: “The store and petrol filling station in Old Colwyn are temporarily closed following an earlier incident.
