The work includes: replacing waterproofing on the concrete deck; replacing joints; upgrading drainage; repairing concrete and resurfacing.

Diversions of up to 12 miles long were put in place when It closed on Monday February 25 for essential maintenance work. It is the only crossing over the River Conwy between Llanrwst and Conwy.

Access to the 200 year old Tal-y-Cafn pub, a former coaching inn turned bistro, will not be affected by the work, which is being carried out by M W T Civil Engineering.
