DRIVERS have been told to expect delays following a serious collision on the M5 near to Halesowen.
The M5 is currently closed in the northbound direction near Junction 3 at Quinton, between the exit and entry slips.
It is expected to be closed for several hours.
Drivers on the A456 between Halesowen and Quinton can also expect delays.
Highways England have reported delays of 30 minutes on approach to the accident, with queues of traffic spanning four miles long back to Junction 4.
Drivers from further afield are advised to use the M42 or M6.
The northbound entry slip road at Junction 4 at Bromsgrove has been closed as a result of long delays.
West Midlands Ambulance Service have confirmed a woman died in the accident.
