CRADLEY residents are upset after a graffiti vandal scrawled all over the area - on bus stops, garden fences and walls.

The tag 'enzo' has been sprayed all over the area from Colley Gate to Windmill Hill, Beecher Road East and Beecher Road.

The graffiti appeared on Sunday March 31 and has upset people living in Cradley. It has also appeared in Quarry Bank High Street where it has been scrawled all over fences at the former Bird Stevens factory.

Rosie Johnson posted on the Fatherless Barn Kids Facebook page saying: "As I was leaving my house earlier I noticed someone had put some graffiti on my fence saying 'Enzo,' walking through Beecher Road most of the fences have the same sign, all the way up to the Round of Beef, you really can't have nice things anymore can you!"

Celia Hodgson posted: "I noticed the graffiti yesterday.

"Mindless idiots come to mind!!"

James Clinton, Conservative candidate for Cradley said the graffiti had been reported to the council. He said it had also been scrawled on the former factory site in Quarry Bank.

He said: "It's everywhere.

"I think enzo is a graffiti artist and they are trying to emulate him.

"It's probably bored kids.

"There's nothing for kids to do in Cradley - in Wollescote they have an area to graffiti on, but we don't have anything like it in Cradley."

Alan Lunt, Deputy Chief Executive and Strategic Director for Place at Dudley Council, said: “Acts of vandalism like this leaves the taxpayer out of pocket and those responsible risk being caught and prosecuted for criminal damage.

"We will be cleaning the graffiti off in the coming days.

"People can report incidents of vandalism like this to us via Dudley Council Plus on 0300 555 2345 or on twitter @DudleyPlus.

"People can also use the Dudley Council app.”
