THIS was the shocking moment a hooded assailant hurled a pickaxe at a parked car in Dudley.
The shocking footage was captured by the car owner's CCTV, on Paganel Drive near to Priory Park, just after 10pm on Sunday April 14.
The video shows what looks like a masked man emerge from the steps leading from Priory Park, run across the road and then hurl a pickaxe into the top of the car.
He then leaves the axe stuck in the car roof before running off back up the path.
The sister of the person who owns the car wished to remain anonymous but wanted to share the footage as a warning to others to remain vigilant.
She said: "If you watch the footage, it's quite menacing. He has a massive pickaxe, it's just bizarre."
"It's normally a quiet residential area."
