Meanwhile - there have also been reports of attempted thefts in the Amblecote area over the last few days.

Offenders tried to force the garage doors on two properties in Sandringham Way and there was one theft from a car in the same location in the early hours of June 14.

A garage door was forced in Ashton Park Drive on June 14 between 3am and 3.10am; and a window was broken on a front door in Grosvenor Way and keys taken from inside the property between 2.40am and 2.45am on June 14.

Stourbridge PCSO Neal Hunt said: “We believe the offence times in Sandringham Way may be linked to around the same times as Ashton Park Drive and Grosvenor Way.”

He is urging residents to check CCTV and to get in touch if they have any evidence of anyone acting suspicious in the area. He added: “The vehicles we are interested in are a Silver Megane and a small dark coloured vehicle with a different coloured front passenger door.”

He said police would be visited the area over the next few days to speak to residents about the incidents.
