TEN-YEAR-OLD Poppy Griffiths is set for an amazing summer after landing a part in a top show starring pop star Jaymi Hensley from Union J.
The Ridge Primary School pupil will be treading the boards in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Birmingham Hippodrome which sees Hensley, who rose to fame on The X Factor, donning the dreamcoat in his first major musical role in this all-singing all-dancing retelling of the Biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colours.
Poppy, who attends Moseley based School of Theatre Excellence in Birmingham (SOTE), is no stranger to the stage - having performed in the Birmingham leg of Evita last year and Peter Pan at Arena Birmingham the previous year.
She also danced alongside Strictly Come Dancing stars Pasha Kovalev and Anya Garnis in the Magic of Hollywood Tour with her dance school Fusion Dance Factory in Stourbridge.
Poppy's mum and dad Rachel and Simon Griffiths said: "We are both immensely proud of Poppy who is so committed to everything she does and she is really excited to being back on stage at The Hippodrome in July."
The show runs from July 2 to 13.
