A TEENAGE boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Rowley Regis.

Medics were called to the junction of Throne Road and Portway Road at 8.19am this morning following reports of a collision between a pedestrian and car.

One ambulance attended the scene.

A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We treated a teenage boy who had suffered injuries not believed to be serious.

"He was taken to Russells Hall for further checks."
