A MAN was sprayed with an 'unknown substance' from a passing car in Stourbridge.
The incident happened on Market Street at around 4pm this afternoon (Friday, October 11).
Police, medics and the fire service rushed to the scene and a cordon was put in place on Market Street.
The man, aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene as a precaution.
Police said the substance is not believed to be corrosive.
A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 4.07pm to Market Street, Stourbridge.
"We currently have one ambulance on the scene treating one patient."
A spokesperson from West Midlands Police said: "Police were called to reports of an unknown substance being sprayed from a passing car at a man on Market Street, Stourbridge at 4.15pm today (11 October).
"Fire officers attended the scene and have confirmed this is not believed to be a corrosive substance.
"The man in his 20s was treated at the scene as a precaution."
