A MAN who was hit by a bus in Sedgley died nine days later, police have confirmed.
The man, aged 53-years-old, was hit by a National Express double decker bus just before 8.20am at the junction of High Park Crescent and Wolverhampton Road on September 21.
He was rushed to hospital but sadly died nine days later on September 30.
Police said the incident has been investigated and the driver of the bus was found not to be at fault.
The heartbroken family of the man have paid tribute to him in a statement.
They said: “We are utterly devastated to have lost our loving son; he was our life.
“We are a very private family and wish to grieve quietly and in privacy; we request that this is respected so that we can try and come to terms with this terrible shock to us."
A spokesman from West Midlands Police confirmed the death has been passed on to the coroner.
He said: "The circumstances of the incident have been investigated and the driver of the bus was found not to be at fault. The matter has been referred to the coroner."
