A HALESOWEN mum with terminal cancer has died aged 43 - just weeks after her heartbroken family launched an appeal to help her complete her bucket list.

Lesley Partridge (nee Hall) died at her home in Olive Lane, Shell Corner, at 4am last Thursday (November 28) from pancreatic cancer after a chest infection worsened her condition.

Her family are devastated they didn't get to spend one last magical Christmas with the much-loved mum of four, or to complete items on her bucket list such as a day out at the SnowDome in Tamworth and her wish to go jet skiing.

Daughter Georgina Mole, aged 23, said: "She was listening to Christmas music when she died.

"Her tree was up and the house was decorated.

"I'm gutted we couldn't spend Christmas with her as it was her favourite time of year.

"My sister Caylea is getting married on January 25 and desperately wanted mum to be there.

"She was the best mum - her door was always open.

"She was so understanding - people would turn to her for advice - you could turn to her about anything as she was never judgemental.

"She was very, very loved and will be terribly missed."

Halesowen News:

Hardworking Lesley, mum to Georgina, Caylea Mole, aged 22, Brandon Partridge, 13 and Brianna Partridge, 11, only found out she had pancreatic cancer on November 6 after suffering stomach pains.

After the awful news that she had just six months to a year to live family and friends rallied round her and an appeal at www.gofundme.com/f/lesley-partridge-making-memories pulled in £3,093 from well-wishers to help her make wonderful memories.

Sadly after Lesley contracted a chest infection her condition got worse and she died at home last week surrounded by family.

She was helped in her final days by palliative nurses from Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, who Georgina said were "amazing."

Georgina said: "She just hadn't got any immune system to fight off the chest infection and antibiotics didn't work.

"We had a house full in the last week, everyone's been here and mum got to say a lot of goodbyes."

Family and friends continued with a fundraising trek to the peak of Scafell Pike in Cumbria on Saturday (November 30) - making it to the top where the temperature was minus 15 as a tribute to single mum Lesley.

Halesowen News:

The family has also pledged to go ahead with their visit to the SnowDome on Sunday (December 8), as it would have been what Lesley would have wanted.

Lesley's bravery moved people all over Halesowen - with one man turning up at the family's door to make a donation.

Money from the appeal will be used to purchase memorial jewellery for her children.

Brandon will have a dog tag necklace with his mum's finger print on and the other children will use Lesley's ashes as part of commemorative items of jewellery.

Lesley, who Georgina said worked all her life, had recently started a new job as a community carer at Diamond Care in Netherton.

The funeral will be on Friday December 13 at Powke Lane Crematorium in Rowley Regis, at 2.30pm.

Anyone is welcome.

Mourners, who are asked to wear bright colours as a celebration of Lesley's life, are welcome at the family home at 139, Olive Lane, Halesowen, at 1.30pm.

The family is requesting no flowers - donations can be made to the charity Balls to Cancer.
