PERFORMERS from a Halesowen theatrical group have scooped accolades given annually in memory of stalwart members.
Startime Variety staged Rapunzel at Cornbow Hall in Halesowen from Wednesday January 29 to Sunday February 2 - and each year the society hands out the Tony Vincent and Mike Clifford awards.
This year the Tony Vincent award, which is voted for by audiences, was presented to Ellie Marie Hares for her outstanding performance as Jester Little Bit.
Startime spokeswoman Jeanette Greenway said: "The Mike Clifford award, voted for by the cast, was presented to Gemma Shaw for her outstanding devotion to the society working behind the scenes as well as attending rehearsals for her role as Prince Artie in the pantomime.
"She really deserved this award."
Tony Vincent was a much-loved and dedicated member of Startime, with his enthusiasm and dedication making him an integral part of Startime for more than twenty years.
Tony had many roles within the society including chairperson, treasurer, front of house, compere, and musician; as well as his many brilliant performances on the stage.
Mike Clifford (pictured above) was not only an on-stage member, but a producer, writer and mentor to many.
His hard work kept Startime going through many years, his variety shows were the highlight of many summers, with his pantomimes never failing to entertain.
