A NEW restaurant is set to open in the empty Barclays Bank unit in Stockton Heath.
Warrington Borough Council has granted full planning permission for the project which will convert the Walton Road unit.
The planning application was submitted last year after Barclays closed in June from a lack of customers.
Proposals indicate that the restaurant will seat around 50 people and include a downstairs kitchen.
The Barclays unit is now the third former bank in Stockton Heath to be converted into a restaurant.
Lloyds turned into the Olive Tree Greek restaurant last year while HSBC closed its branch in 2016, later reopening as Zalo's cafe.
