A GP surgery in Gorse Hill closed after a patient walked in with Coronavirus symptoms.
Hawthorn Medical Centre shut for a few hours on Wednesday as a precaution while staff dealt with someone who was showing signs that may have meant they had the contagious illness.
Practice manager Angela Sundberg said: “I can confirm that we did have a patient turn up at the practice with symptoms which could be related to coronavirus and they had recently travelled from an infected area.
“We have followed public health guidance and managed the situation. We isolated the patient, closed the surgery and did a deep clean.
“This is now with NHS 111 to manage.”
