Gallagher Premiership clubs enjoyed a busy Monday as a flurry of deals and interesting approaches were made in the transfer market.

Exeter and Leicester were the big movers as they announced two new signings each. The Chiefs confirmed Gloucester Rugby's flanker Aaron Hinckley and Scarlets's youngster Corey Baldwin will join the club ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Tigers were equally busy with Georgian front-row forward Shalva Mamukashvili and Fijian winger Nemani Nadolo agreeing deals to bring them to Welford Road in the summer. Tigers also announced that brothers Ben and Tom Youngs have signed contract extensions at the club.

Sale and Chris Ashton have parted ways after agreeing to terminate his contract early. The ex-England star is now up for grabs but it is being strongly rumoured that Harlequins are leading the race for his signature.

Over the weekend The Rugby paper reported that Bristol Bears are taking two of Saracens' players on loan for the 20/21 campaign - Max Malins and Ben Earl are expected to line-up at Ashton Gate next season, adding to a wealth of quality in Pat Lam's ranks.

With Rhys Webb travelling to Bath for the next few months before going to Ospreys in the summer, it is apparent that most clubs are on the hunt for players.

Granted, Warriors are not the only club that don't seem to be particularly active but it does make you wonder whether or not Alan Solomons is on the look out for new players.

Solomons expressed recently that business was "very close" to being concluded but still, you would like to think that he is keeping an eye out.

From what we have seen recently, this squad could do with a bit of freshening up and a couple of new faces would help in that regard.

The squad is not thin on numbers but it is on experienced players who have top-flight pedigree.

With there being so many young players, finding someone with Premiership experience and quality around the age of 28/29 could do wonders, especially if they had good leadership qualities.

Warriors don't have the finances some of the top clubs have but there are funds available and having only signed Billy Searle so far, could there be more?
