POLICE are urging residents to report any car break-ins they may have experienced — regardless of whether anything was stolen.
Officers from GMP Bolton North said they had been made aware through social media that a number of vehicles had been rifled through in the Breightmet area over the weekend.
In a post on Facebook, officers wrote: "Even if nothing is stolen from your vehicle, it still needs reporting so that we are aware of issues in your area and so that officers can give extra attention to those areas.
"It is important that if you are a victim of crime, you report this to the police by ringing 101, or using live chat/filling in an online report on our website —https://www.gmp.police"
They have asked anyone with information, particularly CCTV footage of people acting suspiciously around Breightmet to get in touch via "direct message".
More information can be found on GMP Bolton North Facebook Page.
