A WOMAN has been jailed after using coronavirus as a threat against a police officer.
Donna Selvey was in Oldbury custody block on March 29, as she was wanted for breaching a previous court order, when she became verbally abusive to officers and complained of back pain, a spokesman for West Midlands Police said.
A response officer was speaking to Selvey through the hatch to arrange a nurse visit, when she spat in the PC's face and shouted “drop dead of coronavirus”.
The 33-year-old from the Sparkhill area of Birmingham was further arrested and charged with assaulting an officer, and she was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on May 13.
