A Halesowen band got the chance to demonstrate their talent to a national television audience by performing tracks for BBC Children In Need.

Alternative pop band Miccoli performed live in Centenary Square in Birmingham on November 16 between 9.15pm and 10pm.

The group performed the song Fallout from their debut album Writing on Rooves in aid of the national charity.

The singer/songwriter trio, comprising twin brothers Alessandro and Adriano, and sister Francesca Miccoli, have also offered to donate all profits from digital downloads of the track to the cause and changed the release date of the single to November 12 to coincide with Children In Need week.

Alessandro and Adriano have been working at the National Indoor Arena as part-time stewards for the past six years, and the video for their new album was filmed at the venue.

Band manager, the members' dad, Mim Miccoli said: "This was a fantastic opportunity for us to perform at a prestigious and well respected event.

"We felt it went extremely well.

"We've had great feedback from the audience who really enjoyed Miccoli's sound and have had a tremendous response on the band's Myspace web site.

"Many have said they loved the gig and are downloading the track which is great news for us and for Children in Need."

Downloads of the Miccoli tracks can be found on all major sites eg. i-Tunes, HMV, Virgin, Tune tribes.com as well as the band's site www.myspace.com/miccoli.
