THE entries are in and now we want you to help pick the winner of Mike Wood MP's poster competition which aims to say a big thank you to frontline NHS workers.

Dudley South MP Mike invited youngsters to get creative and design a poster to say thank you to hard-working doctors, nurses, cleaners, cooks, porters and all the other staff working in the NHS for their efforts to try to keep people safe amid the coronavirus crisis.

The Conservative MP launched the competition with the Stourbridge and Dudley News to honour the efforts of frontline workers in the NHS working through the COVID-19 pandemic - and he has been delighted to see the entries submitted by "incredibly talented" school children across the borough.

He said: "I’m thrilled at the quality of the entries we’ve received. I always knew we have extremely talented children in Dudley, but I must say these posters have exceeded my expectations and it’s been a tough job shortlisting the designs. "Every single participant should be proud, and I look forward to the winning design being displayed proudly around town, thanking our NHS for everything they’ve done."

Stephanie Preece, editor of the Stourbridge and Dudley News, said the entries were "excellent" and added: "What a fantastic effort by everyone who entered. We have been so impressed by the standard of entries. It was really difficult to choose a shortlist.

“I’d like to thank everyone who went to the effort to enter the competition. Your posters really do our key workers proud.”

Five of the best posters have now been shortlisted and we want you to help pick a winner by voting for your favourite on our website stourbridgenews.co.uk.
