A DUDLEY DJ is set to host two parties for NHS staff and key workers as a massive thank you for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.

John Preece, who runs DJ Occasions Dudley, is in the process of organising parties across two nights next year- strictly for NHS and care staff and key workers.

The parties are bookmarked to take place on January 23 and February 27 2021, when lockdown restrictions will hopefully be lifted, at Brierley Hill Hop House and the Upper Gornal and Sedgley Labour Club. The celebrations will feature a disco and live music and will be completely free of charge for guests.

It is cause close to John's heart as his wife is a care worker so he has seen how hard frontline staff have worked in the fight against the pandemic.

John said: "We just want to say thank you to them for everything they have done for us and everything they have been through.

"The venues has also been fantastic in letting us do this. The generosity of these guys when hospitality and entertainment has been so hard hit has been amazing."

The parties will also feature a range of live music from a host of local talent including Stu Clements,Will Shannon and Schadenfreude, along with Soldiers of Swing from Britain's Got Talent, while John and his DJ friends will also be hitting the decks.

400 tickets will be able across two nights at the Brierley Hill venue, and 200 at the Upper Gornal club.

John is now looking for sponsors to help make the parties a success by helping to fund food and entertainment.

Anyone who is interested in offering sponsorship should contact John at DJ Occasions Dudley on Facebook.
