A HOLIDAY operator has cancelled all flights to several of its Spanish destinations following a change in government advice.
Jet2, which operates from Newcastle Airport, is cancelling all flights and holidays to Costa de Almeria, Alicante, Malaga and Murcia.
The airline said flights from July 28, up to August 16 will no longer go ahead, just days after Spain was removed from the UKs list of recommended places to travel.
Jet2 is also cancelling flights and holidays to Faro in Portgual, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.
Mainland Spain has seen a spike in coronavirus cases prompting the UK government to impose a 14 self-isolation period for returning visitors.
Yesterday, Jet2 said it would be contacting affected customers to dicuss credit note, and full cash refund options.
