MORE than 1,000 cars parked up at Himley Hall over the weekend to enjoy the first ever drive-in cinema held at the beauty spot.
Frozen 2, Grease, Toy Story and The Lion King were shown over the two days as families came out to enjoy the films in the sunshine at the socially distanced event.
The weekend was organised by Dudley Council, who are now hoping to hold similar events in the future.
Grease, Toy Story and The Lion King all sold out, with more than 300 cars in for each show.
Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member responsible for halls, said: "The feedback we have had from our first drive-in cinema at Himley has been fantastic.
"Everyone followed the social distancing guidelines we put in place and we would like to thank everyone who came out and supported the event.
"We’ve been asked by lots of people if we plan to do any more and it’s certainly something we are looking at now – keep an eye on the Himley Hall website for announcements."
