A HUGE £500k cannabis factory has been discovered by police in Halesowen.

Officers discovered 500 cannabis plants, worth around £1k each, at an address in Nimmings Road near Shell Corner on the evening of Sunday, September 6.

They were called to the scene following reports of a break-in at the address.

Halesowen Police said the plants were seized.

They tweeted: "Halesowen officers attended an address on Nimmings Road last night due to reports of a break-in at a cannabis farm, because of this we have seized over 500 cannabis plants."

Those convicted for supplying or production of class B drugs can face up to 14 years in prison.

West Midlands Police said no arrests had been made in relation to the cannabis factory find, but that "enquiries are ongoing."
