A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Oldbury.
Paramedics were called to Henry New Street just before 8pm last night following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.
A woman, who was the pedestrian, was treated at the scene before being rushed on blue lights to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7:59pm last night to reports of a collision involving a car and pedestrian on New Henry Street in Oldbury. We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene.
"On arrival crews found one patient, a woman, who was the pedestrian. She was treated for serious injuries before being conveyed on blue lights and sirens to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.”
