A MAN was taken to hospital after he was assaulted in Halesowen.

The man was attacked on Malt Mill Lane, near Shell Corner, at around 8pm on Sunday (September 13).

He suffered injuries "not believed to be life-threatening."

An ambulance was called to the scene by police.

A woman was also hurt, but her injuries did not require hospital treatment.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called by police to an assault in Malt Mill Lane in Halesowen.

"We sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer to the scene.

"Crews treated a man for injuries not believed to be life-threatening and he was taken to hospital for further treatment.

"A second patient, a woman, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and she was discharged at the scene.”

West Midlands Police have been contacted for comment.
