Rowley Hall Primary in Rowley Regis confirms coronavirus case

Rowley Hall Primary School sent a letter to parents on Monday (September 21) to let them know that someone within the year four bubble had received a positive test result for coronavirus.

All staff and children within that group have been advised to self-isolate.

There are 90 children in year four at the school in Windsor Road, which is three form entry.

The letter from head Nicholas Miller, read: “A member of our year four bubble has tested positive for Covid-19 and is isolating, as per national guidance.

"As a precaution, all children and staff who have been in the same ‘bubble’ are also self-isolating.

“The school has infection control measures in place which will have helped limit the potential spread of the virus.

"We are working with the council’s Public Health Team and Public Health England.

“Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all our students, staff and wider school community has, and continues to be, our absolute priority.

“Following a member of our year four bubble testing positive for Covid-19, we have acted immediately and worked closely with Public Health England and Sandwell Council to undertake all necessary actions and precautions.”

Mr Miller told the News that he wanted to "reiterate that the school has all measures in place" and that the other year groups in the school were sticking rigidly to their bubbles, so just the year four bubble has to self-isolate for two weeks from the onset of symptoms of the positive case.
