A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Oldbury.

Gurvinder Toor has been charged after a 31-year-old man was stabbed in Kempsey Close, Oldbury on Sunday (September 20).

The unemployed 26-year-old, who was refused bail after being charged, appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court on Tuesday (September 22).

Toor, of Latham Crescent in Tipton, is set to go on trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court on October 20.

The 31-year-old victim was knifed in the head, neck and arm in Kempsey Close, in what police have described as a “domestic incident.”

He remained in a “serious condition” yesterday (Wednesday) after being rushed to hospital following the stabbing at around 8.20pm on Sunday (September 20).

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “Gurvinder Toor, of Latham Crescent in Tipton, has been charged with attempted murder following the stabbing of a 31-year-old man in Kempsey Close, Oldbury on Sunday (20 September).

“The unemployed 26-year-old, who was refused bail after being charged, was due to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on Tuesday."
