A WOMAN has died after being hit by a car in Oldbury this morning (Friday September 24).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 8.36am to Warley Road and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the West Midlands Care Team, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car to the scene.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “On arrival ambulance staff discovered one patient, a woman, who was the pedestrian.
“Crews immediately began treating her for serious injuries and administered advanced life support at the scene.
“However, despite their best efforts, it sadly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
“The driver of the car, a woman, was uninjured in the incident.”
