Cradley Town couldn't maintain their excellent start as they crashed 2-1 at Worcester Raiders.

Playing at Worcester Warriors splendid Sixways Stadium, Cradley opened in cracking style when Darren Whitley headed home a cross from player-manager Sean Geddes.

Raiders responded to level through Dan Flowers after a clearly injured Cradley goalkeeper Liam O'Dowd had lost possession.

O'Dowd had to be replaced between the sticks by Luke Kettle at half time and Raiders were duly kept at bay until the 80th minute when Shane Grainger brought down Isaac Cooper, who got up to score from the resulting penalty.

Cradley have another tough task on their hands this Saturday when they host an in-form Wednesfield side at Beeches View Avenue.
