POLICE have charged a man after another man was left with serious head injuries following an incident outside an Oldbury pub.
Thomas Matthews was arrested on Wednesday October 28 in connection with an altercation near the Phoenix pub, Martley Road, last Saturday.
The 28-year-old, of Bredon Court, Halesowen, has since been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.
He appeared at a virtual court hearing yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court on November 26.
A man in his 40s remains in a serious condition in hospital and police still want to hear from anyone who was in Martley Road, at around 9.10pm on Saturday, and has not already come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police via Live Chat online on the force website or call 101, quoting crime reference SW/260613P/20.
