A PEDESTRIAN was hurt when she was hit by a car in Rowley Regis today.

The accident happened on Cakemore Road at around 10.24am this morning (Wednesday December 2).

Police and medics rushed to the scene and the woman was treated for her injuries before being taken to Sandwell Hospital.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called by police at 10.24am to Cakemore Road, Rowley Regis.

"On arrival crews found one pedestrian, a woman, who had been injured - she was given treatment at the scene for injuries not believed to be life threatening before being taken to Sandwell Hospital for further checks."

They confirmed the pedestrian had been hit by a car.
