A ‘CHAOTIC’ bus firm will be carrying on providing school transport for Hagley Catholic High, despite ‘losing its good repute.’

Thandi Coaches (Red) had its licence revoked at a Traffic Commissioner’s public inquiry for a year, starting on January 1.

But the firm has appealed, and that means it can continue to operate until the hearing, thought to be in the spring.

It is understood the school will continue to use it until then.

Thandi runs a number of services for the non-Worcestershire pupils at the Catholic secondary school, picking up and dropping off in the Stourbridge and Halesowen areas

The Traffic Commissioner decided to revoke its licence because of the company’s lack of money and serious failures in managing and recording the drivers’ work.

The formal decision was that Thandi Transport Manager Amardeep Thandi had lost his ‘good repute’ and is disqualified for a year beginning January 1.

The public inquiry stressed he had not been dishonest, but it found that the financial situation of the company was not strong enough and he was ‘chaotic’ in the way he managed.

The findings said Mr Thandi “presided over a chaotic operation in which no real control of drivers’ hours was being exercised at all.”

The school has been approached for comment.
